We are looking for a new team member to join our Arborist team as an apprentice. We are specialised in maintaining vegetation around electrical infrastructure and are offering the chance to become part of a great team. You will need to enjoy being outside year-round come rain, shine or mud. We would need you to be physically fit with a good attitude.
What an apprentice’s day may look like.
Getting the kit and equipment ready for the day’s work
Process tree and vegetation cuttings (e.g., using a chipper once the necessary training has taken place)
Maintain power tools.
Learning to identify trees, identify pests, diseases and tree defects.
Ground-based work, such as felling small trees and pruning.
Then progressing on to tree work and climbing.
In return we can offer you on the job training with time at college to gain qualifications to allow further carer progression.
This role pays minimum wage but with the chance to earn a bonus as part of the team every quarter.
